Welcome to Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church. The sacrament of Confirmation is a two-year process. The preparation for the sacrament is offered to high school students. 

Bienvenidos a nuestra iglesia católica de Our Lady of Guadalupe. El sacramento de la Confirmación es un proceso de dos años. La preparación se ofrece a los jóvenes de noveno a doceavo grado.

 During the first year we continue to teach the basic teachings of our Catholic Faith. And during the second year the youth is prepared for the sacrament of Confirmation. The focus will be on the Holy Spirit with his gifts and fruits. Parents are required to attend meetings at the beginning and at the end of the process. They are also invited to participate in the events of the church community, for example the celebration of Our Lady of Guadalupe, the posadas, Stations of the Cross...

The parents, as models of their children, are invited to participate in Sunday Mass. Also, youth who are in the second year along with their parents will participate in two retreats (Advent and Lent). 
Also, if your youth has not received the First Holy Communion, he/she can receive it the first year or together with the sacrament of Confirmation.

The preparation is in English once a week in the afternoon.

For youth who are in second year of Confirmation, we ask to choose a sponsor/godparent who practices his/her faith and has already received all three sacraments (Baptism, Confirmation, Communion). They will also be learning the lives of the saints and select one of the saints that relates to their own life. All are welcome!


En el primer año se imparte la continuación de la enseñanza básica de nuestra fe Cristiana Católica. En el segundo año se le prepara para el sacramento de la Confirmación. El enfoque es el Espíritu Santo con sus dones y frutos. Se requiere que los padres asistan a las reuniones de inicio y final del programa. También se les invita a participar en los eventos de la vida de la iglesia, por ejemplo la celebración de la Virgen de Guadalupe, las posadas, Vía Crucis...

Los padres, como ejemplo de sus hijos, se les invita a participar en la misa dominical. También, los jóvenes que están en el segundo año junto con sus padres participaran en dos retiros (adviento y cuaresma). 

También si el joven no ha recibido la primera comunión, tiene la oportunidad de recibirla el primer año o junto con el sacramento de la Confirmación. La preparación será en inglés una vez por semana por la tarde. Para los jóvenes de segundo año de preparación, le pediremos elegir un padrino/madrina que estén activos en su fe y que ya hayan recibido los tres sacramentos (Bautizo, Confirmación, Comunión). También aprenderán la vida de los santos y escogerán el nombre del santo que se identifica con su vida. ¡Todos son bienvenidos!

Registration for Confirmation began on Monday, June 28 and will end on Tuesday, August 31. To register a copy of your BAPTISMAL CERTIFICATE is required. If your youth is not baptized, please provide a copy of his/her BIRTH CERTIFICATE. Registration is $75.00. 

Nuestras inscripciones para la Confirmación iniciaron el lunes, 28 de junio y terminan el martes, 31 de agosto. Para la inscripción del sacramento de la Confirmación favor de entregar una copia de su certificado de bautismo. Si no está bautizado(a), favor de entregar una copia de su acta de nacimiento. 
La inscripción es de $75.00.
